Great job!

Called Elkhorn for two electrical concerns (electrical lights flickering and a timer not working).They came out the next day. Mike reviewed our concerns and explained their process and fee structure. They validated our electrical concerns were within code and a simple part replacement. They were polite and professional. Highly recommend.

Nothing but kind things to say about Elkhorn and their team! Everyone from the scheduling crew to the electricians that showed up to do the job has been great. Andrew and Miguel were quick, efficient, and really nice guys to work with. I highly recommend Elkhorn as everyone they have sent us has been great.

Very happy with the technician’s commitment to a high service standard. He was willing and able to explain what he was doing and why. Even though he had not brought them with, when I expressed disappointment that he would not be replacing my power humidifier mediums, he ran out to Home Depot and made the replacements. Thanks!!!

New Furnace was installed earlier that same day but was extremely loud when running. I called back about the noise and Alex was sent to my house within just a couple hours. He was super polite, friendly, efficient and professional. He knew exactly what to do to make adjustments that were within the manufacturer’s recommended range to bring the volume way down while not affecting the temperature or negatively affecting the new furnace in any way. Every person I’ve dealt with at your company has done an excellent job. In a world where customer service is seriously lacking, you guys are exceeding!

Today, Nov. 21 - Ryan from Elkhorn Heating & Plumbing did an outstanding job with unclogging the sewer main line which fixed water backup issues in the kitchen, the bathrooms and especially the laundry room. Ryan was truly professional with a can-do attitude. He explained the problem and the options to correct it. I have been very pleased with everyone, including Ryan, from Elkhorn Heating and Plumbing.

Technician Kevin came out for an HVAC maintenance call, he was great! he was professional and answered all my questions.

Jack just finished our yearly electrical maintenance. He was very friendly and gave great recommendations, and like Kevin was happy to answer any of my questions

We have used them for HVAC installation, home ChargePoint installation and electrical outlet repairs. Oh and light fixture replacements. Very professional and knowledgeable!!

I had a different company show up for my annual pre-season Furnace check recently. After answering this persons question of how old the unit was, he immediately said that the unit was probably ready to be replaced.... never even opened the maintenance panels. SOOOO ... nope.
Contacted Elkhorn and within a couple of days I was rescheduled. Will was the technician who spent the time with me going over what he was doing. Showed me pictures and discussed ways I could keep my system in a nominal state for the foreseeable future. It was a very nice. No replacement necessary.... Thank you Will and Elkhorn.

A second annual review, this time electrical. Today Andrew was assigned. Primary and secondary breaker panels, checked and all connections tightened. Every GFI tripped/checked. Outlets in every room checked. Whole house grounding checked. Customer replaced outlets individually checked. Andrew was polite, efficient, thorough and patient with questions and shared his observations. Thank you Andrew.

We updated our 22yr old Trane with a new Trane heat pump system from Elkhorn. Quoting and communication were prompt and pricing was competitive.

The install team was just awesome! It was a long day for them getting the old system out and the new one in and set up. Great team work with Mark, Brandon, JP and Miguel! They were on time, friendly and professional. I really appreciated that Mark talked with me about our venting and came up with a great solution! They made sure any of our question were answered. When Kevin came out to complete our commissioning forms for our Xcel rebate, he was on time, friendly and explained everything he was checking.

Bottom line is that I’d recommend Elkhorn to anyone and they will be my first call for any work in the future! Thanks!

Cody and Mark did a wonderful job on installing our Trane furnace. They arrived early, worked efficiently and completed the job in no time. A new ‘smart’ thermostat was also installed. They even did a few extra things like caulking the intake exhaust which should have been done previously. We appreciated the thorough estimate given by Daniel. We appreciated Blake, the electrician supervising the electrical aspect.

Purchased and installed a new hot water heater from Elkhorn. ALEC installed and did a very good job. Great company with top master plumbers and electricians. Thanks for the prompt scheduling and service.

Elkhorn HVAC service was exceptional! Alex came by the same day that I called for service and thoroughly evaluated our system. Time was of the essence, as I was leaving the state, and Justin and the entire Elkhorn team stepped in and had our system replaced the following day! They were very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They stressed safety and I felt like they truly cared about our well being and comfort. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best HVAC service possible! Thank you to Whitney, Alex, Justin and everyone involved!

Elkhorn came through with the lowest bid doing what I asked... (cast iron boiler and hot water heater) even though it was a challenging project in a tough area. Eric and Mark are great guys and great craftsmen. They stayed extra late to make sure we had hot water.

Update 11/14/2025
Bryan L. came to our home for winter furnace checkup. We also have Aprilaire whole home humidifier. He arrived on time, checked out the furnace and changed out the humidifier canister.

Super motivated and explained everything he looked into. Also explained what the plumbing and electrical checkups entail.

So far Elkhorn has done great job of hiring knowledgeable techs.

I’m going to keep using Elkhorn for a long time to come.

We use Zack because he is certified to work on our Arzel HVAC zoning system. It is not something that many HVAC techs know about. We continue to use Zack and Elkhorn because they have high level of training and knowledge. Professional at all times. Pleasant to work with.

12/10/2024. Zack came on time and replaced a Aprilaire humidifier canister that had “Service” light on. He quickly assessed problem and replaced the part (he even had in in his truck).

He also inspected the humidifier for possible recall issue. He showed me that my humidifier component was newer version not needing replacement.

Very smooth experience. Would gladly use his services again.

Zakee was on time and was very friendly. He finished the job rapidly and made sure everything was working correctly.

Update: (or part 3)

As part of my conversation with Elkhorn, I re-requested a quote for the installation of an expansion take and only an expansion tank. I received the quote which I then accepted, but requested a different tech from the one who the negative review referenced. I also wanted to believe the comments from the manager regarding my experience being atypical and give them another chance.

Bottom line: It’s not that mistakes can happen, but how a person/business responds. Elkhorn plumbing made it right and I would like to commend both management and the tech (Alec) for the fine job and restoring my opinion & confidence in the company.
They earned back the 5 stars.

(Part 2 - The response)

After speaking with the manager of Elkhorn plumbing, I was assured that my experience was not indicative of the plumbing arm of Elkhorn. He has promised that the experience will be used as a training tool to preclude any such future experience and will endeavor to update the website to provide exclusion examples to listed services.
My review stands, but will update

(Part 1 - The issue)

I guess Elkhorn has just got too successful and busy. It appears that they no longer have time to respond to questions about the “service” that they provide. In no particular order - it shouldn’t take a week and multiple phone calls trying to get clarification of services that should have been provided under their annual service plan. They shouldn’t advertise that the water heater will be drained under the service plan when the tech says they won’t drain it if over 5 years old. They shouldn’t advertise that water pressure will be tested under the plan if it doesn’t get tested. Same thing with the dye test. You would think that some sort of report would be given after all the items that they say will be inspected/reviewed besides “it all looks good”. But the most disappointing thing is when they say that you need to have a part installed (expansion tank), that the quote is for a complete replacement of the hot water heater, catch pan, etc. Never mind that the hot water heater is still under warranty! And one more thing about the annual service plan - they used to actually call you to schedule services that were covered. I was told by two techs that it is now the responsibility of the homeowner to call.
I guess I was expecting too much…..

Elkhorn replaced my furnace and ac 5 years ago and I have always been very pleased with their service. Today they were able to fit me in when my furnace quit working. Zack addressed the furnace issue and a humidifier problem. He was very personable and professional.

I have used Elkhorn for years and have never been disappointed. Always professional and friendly. Kevin along with being professional and friendly was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

Prompt arrival, friendly maintenance tech, good reliable service. 8 will use Elkhorn again next year for my maintenance. No charge as included in first 2 year contract.

Andrew was so great. Fixed everything, was personable, professional and friendly. And I have heat now!!!!

Alec was very communicative before arriving. He was quick to determine the issue. We had him come back to repair the leak (house is old and tub valve system, as well as tub spout, leaking). Did a great job and would highly recommend!

Will came out today to fix a "problem" with our furnace. Turns out it was working as designed. He went ahead and did a full check on the furnace and everything was fine. Very nice young man and he took the time to explain what he was doing and how the furnace was/should be working.

Christopher came today to do our annual furnace and central humidifier inspection. He was courteous, knowledgeable, did the annual maintenance and explained everything. Great service like usual from Elkhorn!
