Service Technician Caiden performed the scheduled annual inspection of our furnace today. He was very polite, personable and easy to talk to. During the inspection, he discovered an item of concern based on the age of this furnace and current condition of a component. The explanation of his finding was thorough and easy to understand along with providing me with some options to consider. This was not a “rush” repair that needed to be made but it made sense to be proactive and agree to move forward with his recommendations. It is apparent that Caiden is an experienced and knowledgeable HVAC Technician and his insights were valuable and well received. As I have previously stated on other reviews of this company, I’ll continue to do business with them.

Outstanding customer service by Technician Eli! I had an after-hours No Heat” call in which Eli was dispatched. He called me shortly after I reported the problem and promptly responded to my home. Upon arrival he asked me a few questions then quickly diagnosed, located and repaired the issue. Eli was very personable, knowledgeable, and articulate in explaining what had occurred and why. It is obvious that he is a “skilled” technician”. Anyway, the house is warm again and just want to say thanks to Eli along with everyone else at ELKHORN. Great job!
Contacted Elkhorn for an opinion and estimate to replace a leaking 17 year old 50 gallon residential gas water heater. Technician Josh arrived on time as scheduled (same day). Josh was very personable and obviously quite knowledgeable regarding this installation. He took the time to explain what he was observing, possible issues and what specifically needed to be done, along with providing good options for me to consider. The quote given for this job was very reasonable. I agreed to have the work done which will begin tomorrow morning.

Water heater installed and working great! Very professional installation by Josh and Jake. All of my original issues were resolved . The additional plumbing work done was “top notch”….beyond my expectations!

Scheduled Elkhorn to come out to the house for the annual maintenance on our 17 year old Trane air conditioning / heat pump unit. Technician “Phillip” arrived promptly and thoroughly explained the process for this maintenance visit and what he would be doing during this time. Phillip was very polite, personable and easy to talk to. When he was finished, Phillip took the time to explain what he checked and why, potential issues to be aware of due to the age of the system and what to expect moving forward. He answered all of my questions and gave my AC a clean bill of health. I was very happy with this service call by Elkhorn. In addition, Cambria from the office called me early on the day of my appointment to make me aware of an earlier time slot available if I wanted it, which I took. I really appreciated that!

“I work for a major insulation manufacturer, Owens Corning, on the HVAC fiberglass insulation and ducting side. So, I am very familiar with the HVAC equipment side. I know that a professional properly installed HVAC Equipment System is what will keep you from having any potential issues in a Heating & Cooling System. I did a lot of research as I decided who i was going to select for my hvac insulation and what brand of equipment was going to be used for my home hvac replacement. After considering the many choices that I had in Highland Ranch, CO, I decided to use Elkhorn Heating & Air Conditioning. The whole process from the sales/quote side to the actual installation went very smoothly. Gary from sales and then the install crew Ben, Taylor, and Blaine took their time to make sure that everything was installed properly and functioning as the equipment should. I like the fact that Elkhorn HVAC does a manual J certification which is where they plug in the specifications of each house to make sure they are putting in the properly sized equipment for your home so that everything functions as it should. Elkhorn installed a Trane HVAC system which is one of the premier brand in the industry for reliability and performance. Your HVAC system is a key investment to your home comfort. Elkhorn was fair in their pricing and you pay a small premium, but you know that the installation will be done right and the equipment that they are using is top of the line. One thing that I also really like that they did was to review the ducting in your basement in regard to the sizing of the Air Retur.n and the High Flow Ducting that they use when they install the system. A properly size air return makes sure the equipment is getting enough air return so that it is optimized. The High Flow Ducting above the coil makes sure that your are getting maximum power air flow in to your ducting so I did notice that the air coming out of the home vents was stronger. I am very happy with the work Elkorn did so buy with confidence from this company. I believe you will be very satisfied with your investment in your HVAC system. Have a great day.”

“The cost of replacing Heating & AC units has become ridiculous, but it is what it is. I have had to replace our furnace once and the AC unit twice. When our AC broke in July 2023 and I starting looking at companies to replace the AC, I always would try and find the cheapest, but the best. My Dad and Mom always said, you get what you pay for, but you have to understand that. Our furnace was a Trane and 20 years old (at the end of its life cycle). The AC was 10 years old. What I learned this time, was, are we happy with our old system, was it doing the heating/cooling and keeping our energy bills manageable? Were the furnace/AC heating and cooling our home correctly? When we built our home in 1987, we trusted our builder, but the ductwork was not done properly & we had a major decision to make. How long will we live in this home, if a few years, go cheap. We are in our 70’s and planned our living here our whole lives. My Wife did not like the reviews of Elkhorn, but I started getting bids form 5 companies s based upon our needs. As a customer you need to research, know what you want, how long you will be there and will you be happy with the replacements. Elkhorn spent the time answering all questions, providing options, solving duck work options. They gave me 3 options on the replacement. Do AC only, upgrade AC & replace the broken AC and our furnace that could break any time. Since we wanted a long term solution, we decided to replace both, have them provide the most efficient results. Did we pay more than I wanted, yes, but they delivered on installation, decreasing our utility bill and solving the circulation of hot & cold air in our home. They offered on feature, they would not increase the cost if other problems were found during instalation. You can call them with questions & get help after the installation. They provided answers on how to keep the system working at peak performance. Elkhorn is the best I have delt with. Do your homework, get bids, but know what you need and can afford. They will take time and help you make the best decision for your goals.
